Plunket Shield 2023-24


In 2023-24, the **Plunket Shield** will resume as New Zealand's premier first-class competition, drawing ten regional teams that will battle for national supremacy. The 22-match campaign will see Canterbury Wizards, Northern Knights, Auckland Stags, Wellington Firebirds, Central Stags, Otago Volts, Northern Districts, Bay of Plenty, Wellington Heat, and the Wairarapa Warriors compete for points across the season. Heavier emphasis will be placed on pinpoint bowling battles, explosive batting sessions, and strategic field placements. Key players such as Brendon McCullum-era stalwarts and rising talents will feature in the lineup, while emerging fast bowlers and spin specialists will contend for wicket-toppers.
