In WordPress, a plugin is a small software application that extends the features and functions of a WordPress website. The WordPress plugin API offers a robust set of hooks and filters which allow developers to modify existing WordPress functionality or add new functionality. They make it easier for users to add features to their website without knowing a single line of code.
1 Open your WordPress account, click the admin sidebar, click the plugin, and then select the “Add New” option from the menu in the admin sidebar.
2 The choose file option will appear on the bottom of the page once you click Add New Option; simply upload the ZIP file and click Install Now.
3 After clicking on the install now button the new page will appear saying active plugin on the down side of the page
4 Insert the shortcode on the website where you want to show the Widget
